eezyfin helps you plan debt payoff and track net worth. This page explains exactly what we collect, who else sees it, how long we keep it, and how to get rid of it.

Who we are

eezyfin is operated by EEZYFIN LLC, a Texas limited liability company, 306 Oarman Ct, Houston, TX 77079. For anything on this page, email support@eezyfin.com.

What we never collect

We do not collect or store your bank login credentials, card numbers, bank transaction history, Social Security number, date of birth, or physical address.

  • Bank credentialsare entered inside Plaid's own interface and are never sent to us or visible to us. Plaid handles them under its own End User Privacy Policy, which it also presents to you inside that interface before you connect anything.
  • Card detailsare entered on Stripe's payment page. No card number ever reaches our systems.
  • Transactions. We request only balances and liability details from your bank — not your spending history. What you spend is yours, and we never see it.

Tracking and advertising

eezyfin runs no analytics, no advertising trackers, and no third-party tracking cookies. There is no Google Analytics, no advertising pixel, and no session-recording tool in the product. The only cookies we set are the ones that keep you signed in.

We do not sell or share your personal information, and we never use your financial data to train machine-learning models.

Who processes your data

We use a small number of service providers, each of which receives only what it needs to do its job:

ProviderPurposeWhat it receives
SupabaseDatabase, authentication, file storageYour application data
VercelApplication hostingRequests in transit
PlaidBank connectivity (only if you connect a bank)Your bank credentials, entered directly with them; balances and liability details
StripePayments (only if you subscribe)Your card details, entered directly with them; billing contact
ResendAccount and support emailYour email address and message contents

We do not sell your data to anyone, and none of these providers may use it for their own purposes.

How your data is protected

  • Every table is protected by database-level row security keyed to your user id, so a query can only ever return your own records — the boundary is enforced by the database, not by application code.
  • Data is encrypted in transit and at rest by our infrastructure providers.
  • Bank access tokens are stored with column-level read access revoked from the ordinary application role; they are readable only by server-side code.
  • PDF snapshots live in a private bucket and are served only through short-lived signed links. They are never publicly addressable.

Bank connections

Connecting a bank is optional — eezyfin works entirely on manual entry. If you do connect one:

  • Nothing is imported automatically. You review what was found and choose what to track.
  • Disconnecting an institution calls Plaid's removal API, deleting the connection at Plaid rather than merely dropping our copy of it.
  • If your plan stops including bank sync, we stop refreshing your connections, and we disconnect them at Plaid after a short grace period.

How long we keep it

  • Your data is kept for as long as your account exists.
  • Deleting your account removes it immediately — see below.
  • PDF snapshots belonging to lapsed accounts are purged on a schedule after a retention period.
  • Backups taken by our infrastructure providers may retain copies for a short period after deletion before rolling off.

Deleting your data

You can delete your entire account yourself, at any time, from Settings → Delete account. No email required and no waiting on us. It permanently removes:

  • every account, balance and balance-history entry;
  • budgets, payoff scenarios and saved plans;
  • your rank, achievements and streaks;
  • all PDF snapshots; and
  • every bank connection — disconnected at Plaid, not just removed from our database; and
  • any active subscription — cancelled at Stripe immediately, so you are not charged again.

This cannot be undone and we cannot restore it afterwards. Stripe keeps its own record of payments you already made, which we retain for tax and accounting purposes.

You can also ask us to access, correct, or export your data, or to delete it on your behalf, by emailing support@eezyfin.com. Depending on where you live you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA; we apply the rights described here to everyone regardless of location.

Children

eezyfin is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of the page, and we will tell you by email before any change that materially reduces the protections described here.
